Jessica went to the emergency room twice in a twenty-four hour period. Last time she had the jitters like that was when she took two snappers from Darren's bong. Shit's going down with her friends as usual, and I'm relishing the juicy details I'm getting first-hand. I bought us a couple of Happy Meals and went over to watch Susie Q, but soon enough she started having spasms again, so we took it easy for the night.

Last night, I was supposed to go to a GLBT deaf social in SF with my friend Steph from ASL 2. Traffic was so awful on the freeway to pick her up and back towards the city that we arrived two hours after it started. Then, we stopped and ate pizza at Blondie's, got lost on 16th and Valencia, and ultimately missed the event by a few minutes. So, we stopped by Ti Couz, the little crepe place where they don't card, and I introduced her to the world of dessert crepes. If I weren't gay and she didn't have a girlfriend, it would've been a pretty cute date!

First post of the new year [now with 100% more black president!]!!!

Nearly two months of procrastination later, I finally registered for the Spring 2009 semester.

Mon/Wed
9:15AM - 10:40AM, SL 1B - Intermediate ASL & Lab, 3.5 units

Tue/Thurs
9AM - 10:25AM, DANCE 002 - Dance Appreciation, 3 units
10:45AM - 12:10PM, SL 015 - Deaf Culture, 3 units
12:15PM - 3:20PM [Tues Only], PSYCH 100 - Human Sexuality, 3 units

Omigosh, I'm so excited!
The only class I'm unsure about is Dance Appreciation, but I've heard that it was stupidly easy from several sources, so I'm really not too worried.

What Makes Someone Fall Out Of Love With You?

As of this morning, I am single.

This is how I feel:

We took our relationship and stretched it from San Jose to Chicago, and, somewhere along the way, it snapped.
But, I'm not surprised, nor am I curled up in bed, drowning in my own tears and snot, like I thought I would be.
The lack of interest on his end for the past few months probably prepared me for this.
I'm just sad to let something that had so much potential go, but, in a way, you could say it was doomed from the start.
It was a good break-up, as good as break-ups can get, at least.
For now, I can focus on starting the new year stress-free with a fresh outlook on life.
I'm still scared to get into bed, though, so I haven't slept since yesterday morning.

Halloween was lame.
The details are a blur; I might've blocked it from my memory.

Not gonna lie, it's been on repeat since yesterday.

I've been somewhat busy these past few weeks.
The semester's almost over, and the pressure's on to keep grades up.
Then there're finals and final projects to worry about.
I've also started doing some community service on days I don't have school.
I'd like to say that I'm doing it out of the goodness of my own heart, but the reality is it was either community service or write a five page essay for history and research nutrients and genetics for Nutrition.
It's fun, though.
Or at least the one for Nutrition is; I help prepare food and wash dishes for old people lunch time at the Berryessa Community Center.
For history, they have me filing papers at an immigration office. ):

AQU25A's been holding hiphop classes every Wednesday in SF.
If anyone wants to come with for a free class, don't hesitate to speak up. :D

This is my pie.
It took all night to make.
It's ugly and broken and probably not brown enough and I'm pretty sure the parmesan cheese on top is crunchy.
But, it's my pie, and I love it.

April and I went to Deaf Coffee Night at Starbucks in Santa Clara.
The first half hour was uncomfortably awkward because everyone was already engaged in conversation with someone else.
Eventually, we ran into Jess who's also an ASL student, and from there we met all these other awesome people.
I walked away from the night with a greater appreciation for the Deaf community and a few extra naughty words added to my sign-cabulary.

There was a guy dressed as a pirate and a little girl who signed to us through the window when we were outside.
I don't know why I didn't take pictures of them.

Last night was the most awesome night I've had in an unawesomely long time, and normally there isn't much awesomeness to be found at Fuz.
I saw so many people I hadn't talked to in so long.
Funksters were great, and for some reason they all looked unbelievably hot.
Well, except for that white guy.
He was okay, but, because of all the hotness around him, he stuck out like a sore thumb.
Jessica totally wanted to be all up in that long-haired chick's pussy.

Our semi-annual tradition of celebrating something years of friendship by eating twenty scoops of ice cream in a tub full of brownies, waffle bits and sprinkles.

The employees were really nice. We let the guy who'd never made a vermonster before pop his cherry on us. He was so excited he forgot to charge us for it, but once we realized it while we were in the car we ran back in right as they were counting the day's totals.

From Wikipedia: Dr. Horrible's Sing-Along Blog is a 40-minute, 3-part musical comedy produced for the Internet, telling the story of a low-rent supervillain, the hero who keeps beating him up, and the cute girl from the laundromat he's too shy to talk to. The movie was written by Joss Whedon and his brothers Zack Whedon (a lesser known television writer), Jed Whedon (a composer) and Jed's fiancée, Maruissa Tancharoen (an actress). The writing team penned the musical during the WGA Writer's Strike. The idea was to create something small and inexpensive, yet professionally done, in a way that would circumvent the issues that were being protested during the strike.

The first act was recently put up at DrHorrible.com. The next two will be posted on the 17th and the 19th respectively. Be quick! They'll only be available for free until midnight of the 20th! The episodes will be available for pay on iTunes, and I read that there're plans to release them on a DVD with extras.
